Frequently Asked Questions
Answers for every step of your order
Ordering, shipping, storage, handling and documentation — the questions our research customers ask most, answered plainly.
Still stuck? Email support@harborpeptides.com and we'll get back to you within one business day.
01 — Ordering & purchasing
Placing an order.
How checkout works, who can buy, and what happens after you pay.
Do you require a research license to order?
No license is required. By completing checkout you confirm you are a qualified researcher and that all material will be used for laboratory research only.
What payment methods do you accept?
All major credit and debit cards are accepted at checkout. Additional methods appear automatically when they are available for your region.
Can I change or cancel an order after placing it?
Reach out as soon as possible. If the order has not been packed we can usually amend it; once a label is printed it has to ship as-is.
02 — Shipping & delivery
Getting it to the bench.
Cut-off times, carriers, and what to do if a package is delayed.
How quickly do orders ship?
Orders placed before the daily cut-off ship the same business day. Tracking is emailed as soon as the label is scanned.
Do you ship internationally?
Availability varies by destination. Any restrictions are shown at checkout before you pay.
My tracking hasn't moved. What now?
Carrier scans can lag by a day, especially over a weekend. If there is no movement after two business days, send us the order number and we will open a trace.
03 — Handling & storage
Keeping material stable.
Storage windows, reconstitution, and shelf life.
How should lyophilized material be stored?
Store sealed vials cold and away from light. Once reconstituted, keep refrigerated and use within the window noted on the product page.
What should I use to reconstitute?
Bacteriostatic water is the usual choice for research handling. Add solvent slowly down the vial wall rather than directly onto the pellet, and swirl instead of shaking.
My vial arrived warm. Is it still usable?
Lyophilized material is stable at ambient temperature for the length of a normal transit. If a shipment was delayed well beyond its window, contact us before use.
04 — Documentation
What comes with the material.
Where to find analytical paperwork, and what to do when a product has none.
What documentation comes with an order?
Where analytical documentation is available for a product, it's published on that product page. If you need paperwork for a specific item, contact us before ordering and we'll tell you what we have.
Who performs the testing?
Analysis is carried out by independent laboratories. Where a report is published, the issuing lab is named on it.
05 — Returns & issues
If something isn't right.
Damaged, missing or incorrect items.
A vial arrived damaged. What do I do?
Photograph the packaging and the vial before discarding anything, then contact us with your order number. We will arrange a replacement.
Can I return an unopened product?
Because these are research materials with storage requirements we cannot resell returned stock. Contact us and we will work through the specifics of your order.
06 — Intended use
Research only. No exceptions.
The single most important thing to understand before ordering.
Are these products for human use?
No. Everything sold here is for laboratory research use only. Our products are not drugs, foods, cosmetics or medical devices, and are not for human or veterinary use.
Can you advise on dosing or protocols?
We cannot. We supply material and whatever analytical paperwork exists for it; study design is the researcher's responsibility.
The fine print
